Hello, I’m Kim Hale! I am a Registered Dental Hygienist at Southern Smiles Dental and have over 20 years of experience in the dental field. I have a passion for helping my patients achieve optimal health for their mouth, as well as make them feel at ease during the dental treatment.
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Michael, and our two daughters.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello, I’m Cheryl Studebaker and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist at Southern Smiles Dental. I was born in Opelika, Alabama. I began working in a dental practice as a front desk receptionist and office manager when I was 22 years old. I became a Registered Dental Hygienist at age 26 and moved to Birmingham in 1983. I retired in 2019 but came out of retirement to work for Dr. Guthrie.
I’m never bored with my profession! It’s been a fun 45 years!

I’m Destiny and I’m originally from Boaz, Alabama. I graduated from Wallace State Community College in 2019 before joining Southern Smiles Dental as a Certified Dental Assistant alongside Dr. Kyatt. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team that works diligently to restore the smiles of our community members.
Beyond dentistry, I find joy in spending quality time with my family and furry canine companion, exploring the great outdoors through activities like kayaking and trail riding.

Hello, I’m Keionna! I’ve been working as a dental assistant since 2013, and I absolutely love what I do. Patient care is my top priority, and I thoroughly enjoy building meaningful relationships with both my patients and my co-workers. Outside of the dental office, I cherish spending quality time with my daughter—it’s my favorite way to unwind and recharge.
